The Management Board of eu-LISA met on 19–20 November 2025 in Copenhagen to review the Agency’s activities, assess progress across its operational portfolio and discuss priorities for the period ahead. The EES-ETIAS Advisory Group met on 6–7 November 2025 in Strasbourg and online – the first meeting since the Entry/Exit System (EES) entered into operation on 12 October 2025. The Advisory Group is composed of representatives from EU Member States, Associated Countries, the European Commission, Frontex and eu-LISA, and serves as a key coordination platform for operational, technical and governance

On 12 October 2025, the new Entry/Exit System (EES) entered into operation, marking a new era in European border management. Developed and managed by eu-LISA, the system represents a major step in the digitalisation of Europe’s external borders, replacing manual passport stamping with an electronic registration system. On 1 October 2025, Tillmann Keber took office as the new Executive Director of the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA).
