The eu-LISA Internship Campaign 2026 offers young professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from experts from across Europe and contribute to meaningful work supporting cooperation in the areas of border management, migration, security and justice.
Each year, eu-LISA welcomes talented young people from across Europe to join its teams and gain practical experience in an international EU environment.
Opportunities across IT and corporate functions
The 2026 internship campaign is organised in two complementary waves, covering both technical and corporate profiles.
- The first wave focuses on IT profiles, offering opportunities in areas such as cybersecurity, software development, IT infrastructure, data analysis and other technical fields supporting the development and operation of large-scale EU information systems.
- The second wave focuses on corporate functions, offering internships in areas including data protection, legal affairs, security policy and coordination, governance and stakeholder management, communications, analysis and statistics, facilities management, budget and finance, procurement, contract management and human resources.
Together, these opportunities allow young professionals to explore different professional paths within an EU agency while gaining valuable experience in a multicultural environment.
Dedicated opportunity for Danish nationals
As part of the corporate functions wave, eu-LISA has also launched a specific internship call for Danish nationals in Governance and Stakeholder Management, based at the Agency’s headquarters in Tallinn.
The position supports the work of the Management Board Secretariat and policy teams, contributing to stakeholder relations, governance coordination and cooperation with EU institutions and agencies. The call aims to encourage applications from Danish nationals in order to improve the geographical balance of nationalities within the Agency while maintaining a fully merit-based selection process.
