Eurodac is the centralised European database that stores and processes the digitalised fingerprints of asylum seekers and irregular migrants who have entered a European country. The Eurodac 2025 Annual Statistics report compiles a detailed breakdown of the data for the main five Eurodac categories. Figures reported also include hits, the positive matches that are generated when comparing fingerprint searches made in the Eurodac database, either by designated law enforcement authorities or asylum and immigration authorities.
