Actions
eu-LISA has launched the second wave of its 2026 internship campaign, opening applications for a broad range of profiles in corporate functions across the Agency. Among the opportunities published, one of the internship calls is specifically dedicated to Danish nationals, supporting the Agency’s objective of ensuring balanced geographical representation among its staff.
Opportunities across key corporate areas
This second wave offers internship opportunities in areas including data protection, legal affairs, security policy, governance, communications, analysis and statistics, facilities management, budget and finance, procurement, contract management and human resources.
Through these roles, interns will support the work that enables eu-LISA to implement EU policies by designing, developing and operating large-scale information systems used across the Schengen area and the EU justice domain. These systems support cooperation between Member States and EU institutions in areas such as internal security, border management and judicial cooperation.
Internships in Tallinn, Strasbourg and Brussels
The internships are offered in Tallinn, Strasbourg and Brussels, giving selected candidates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international and multicultural EU environment.
Depending on the profile, interns will join teams working on legal and policy matters, stakeholder relations, communication activities, corporate services, financial planning, procurement processes, HR activities and other business functions that support the Agency’s day-to-day operations.
In certain profiles, interns may also assist with preparing meetings and documentation, supporting stakeholder relations, contributing to reports and presentations, and helping organise institutional events and visits.
Who can apply
The campaign is aimed at recent university graduates and early-career professionals who have completed at least three years of higher education in a relevant field.
Relevant disciplines include law, international relations, European studies, political science, public administration, economics, finance, human resources, communications, journalism, statistics, data science, security, facilities management and other related fields.
Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills in English, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and a proactive mindset with an interest in contributing to the work of an EU Agency.
Internship conditions
Interns will be offered a six-month full-time placement, with the possibility of extension up to twelve months, starting on 1 October 2026.
