eu-LISA has launched the first wave of its 2026 internship campaign, opening applications for a wide range of IT-related profiles at the heart of the Agency’s operational activities.

Two calls open for applications

This first wave is fully dedicated to technical and IT-oriented roles, alongside a targeted call for women in IT functions. It reflects eu-LISA’s commitment to attracting fresh talent and promoting greater gender balance in areas where women remain underrepresented.

Based at eu-LISA’s operational site in Strasbourg

The internships are based in Strasbourg, France, home to eu-LISA’s operational site. From here, the Agency ensures the day-to-day operational management and monitoring of large-scale IT systems supporting border management, visa, migration, asylum and judicial cooperation across the European Union. Interns will work alongside engineers, cybersecurity specialists, project managers and analysts, contributing to teams that keep these critical systems secure, resilient and available around the clock.

Who can apply

This campaign is aimed at recent university graduates and early-career professionals who have completed at least three years of higher education in a relevant field such as IT, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, data science or business informatics. It is designed for motivated young professionals with strong English skills, a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in contributing to technology that serves millions of people across Europe.

Internship conditions

Interns will be offered a six-month full-time placement, with the possibility of extension up to twelve months, starting on 1 October 2026. The positions follow a hybrid working model (relocation to Strasbourg is required) and include a monthly grant of EUR 2,329.80. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2026.

A second wave of the 2026 internship campaign will be announced soon and will focus on opportunities in corporate functions.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the eu-LISA eRecruitment platform. Full details and eligibility criteria are available in the official notices,
