On the 14th June 2016 eu-LISA hosted an Industry Workshop entitled "Increasing the Efficiency of Hotspots Handling Migratory Pressure through Practical Technological Solutions" in Strasbourg, France. This report contains highlights of the presentations and discussions that took place on the day.

In the beginning of 2015 the nine EU Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Agencies, working together in a joint network, agreed on a common set of priorities to be focused on in the coming year. After inter-agency consultations, the JHA Agencies agreed to focus their bilateral and multilateral activities on the following strategic priorities.

On 8 October 2015, eu-LISA held a working-level conference in Tallinn entitled “The future tested Towards a Smart Borders reality”. The event aimed to convene a diverse group of stakeholders and experts to discuss the evolution of border management in Europe and the technical solutions to be put in place.
