Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Senior Estonian Officials annual briefing held in Tallinn

eu-LISA hosted today, 7 February 2020, a delegation of Ambassadors and representatives from diplomatic missions in Estonia as well as senior officials from the Estonian administration for the traditional annual briefing.

Krum Garkov, Executive Director of eu-LISA, kicked-off the meeting outlining the Agency's 2020 priorities and the state-of-play on the large-scale IT systems entrusted to eu-LISA – Eurodac, SIS, and VIS, as well as EES, ETIAS and ECRIS-TCN, which are currently under development. Interoperability, which aims to close information exchange gaps between Europe's IT systems in the area of justice and home affairs, was also an important topic of discussion.

Other points on the Agenda included the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and plans to further develop the Agency's contribution to Member States.

The ever-growing importance of the Agency's work and its implications for Member States always make this annual briefing a highly interactive and interesting session. The Agency is delighted to have hosted more than 35 participants on this occasion!
