A delegation led by the Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Ministry of Justice, visited eu-LISA's Headquarters in Tallinn on 3 November 2022.
Welcomed by Interim Executive Director Luca Tagliaretti, the participants discussed the digitalisation of justice in the European Union and the future development of e-CODEX (e-Justice Communication via Online Data Exchange), one of the Agency's key priorities for the coming years. eu-LISA has been entrusted by the European Commission to take over the operational management of cross-border justice platform e-CODEX, as well as host and develop the Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) Collaboration Platform.
These are just a couple of strategic building blocks, further to ECRIS-TCN, for the digitalisation of the justice domain, notes Luca Tagliaretti, highlighting the importance of also interconnecting the blocks, which will contribute to improving internal security and judicial cooperation across Europe, for both citizens and businesses.
Meetings with EU Member States' authorities contribute to strengthening eu-LISA's constructive relations with its stakeholders, which are vital for ensuring a safe and secure EU.
