eu-LISA Environmental Statement

The 2024 Environmental Statement is a transparent way of communicating to all our stakeholders the progress made on our eu-LISA EMAS journey.
eu-LISA is committed to continuously improving its environmental performance and reducing its carbon footprint by:

  1. Improving environmental culture and awareness across all levels of the organisation;
  2. Improving energy performance in its buildings and data-centres;
  3. Applying the Green Public Procurement strategy;
  4. Preserving natural resources by using a circular economy;
  5. Sorting, recycling and preventing waste;
  6. Applying eu-LISA Greening rules for missions and authorised travel to reduce CO2 emissions;
  7. Promoting sustainable mobility.

In 2024, eu-LISA also set an ambitious goal – to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.

To support this commitment, eu-LISA is registered under the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) as of 1 April 2025, with the aim of continually improving its environmental results.
