The European Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) will be hosting the next edition of the Industry Roundtable on 11-12 June 2024.
In cooperation with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, this event will take place in Belgium (exact location to be confirmed at a later stage), and will offer both in-person attendance and online participation options.
Theme
The Industry Roundtable, titled "Going to the Cloud: Why it matters for the EU public sector and how to make it work", aims to spotlight new technology solutions, best practices, and frameworks for migrating public IT systems to the sovereign cloud. Presentations will feature solutions developed and deployed by industry leaders, Member States, and EU public sector organisations.
Purpose
In order to recognise the imperative of modernising IT services to ensure effective and efficient operations within Member States and across Europe, the European Union underscores the significance of cloud-related technologies. However, transitioning public IT systems to the cloud presents unique challenges. This event will serve as a platform to address these challenges and explore innovative solutions.
