On 27 June, the Contact Points of the Justice and Home Affairs Agencies Network (JHAAN) met for the second time this year under the umbrella of eu-LISA's Presidency of the Network.
Several colleagues from fellow JHA Agencies joined the meeting in person at Headquarters in Tallinn, while observers from EU institutions partook online.
The main topics addressed were the JHAAN 2024 calendar of events, progress on greening and diversity priorities, the current edition of the JHAAN Staff Exchange Programme, engagement with EU institutions, and the launch of discussions on the priorities under the next JHAAN Trio Presidency.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity for the JHA policy and external relations officers to update each other on recent activities, and to continue planning inter-agency cooperation initiatives.
eu-LISA's interim Deputy Executive Director, Luca Zampaglione, personally welcomed attendees, and recalled the importance and added value of the Network, which has been active since 2010.
The next JHAAN Contact Points meeting will take place in September in Strasbourg.
The JHAAN comprises nine agencies operating in the EU justice and home affairs domain: CEPOL, EIGE, EUAA, EUDA, eu-LISA, Eurojust, Europol, FRA, and Frontex.
