The Schengen Information System (SIS), Europe's largest IT system for internal security and border management, received a set of major upgrades in March 2023.
SIS users, namely 30 countries in Europe, now have access to a new set of functionalities and search capabilities which assist national border guards, police, customs authorities and immigration authorities with identifying among other, wanted or missing persons, stolen goods.
