Main theme Technologies to Facilitate Land Border Crossing. The event was dedicated to highlighting technical needs in terms of how land border crossings at the EU’s external borders could be facilitated after the entry into operation of the Entry/Exit System (EES) and intended to allow consideration of possible innovative solutions. eu-LISA highlighted from the outset that solutions from the industry are needed urgently as the system should become operational already in 2021.
