On 16 June 2022, the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) hosted the 15th edition of the Industry Roundtable, organised in cooperation with the French Presidency of the EU Council. The event, titled ‘Biometric Technologies in Identity Management and Verification’, focused on technologies addressing capability gaps in identity verification at external border crossing points (in particular land and sea), and technologies and approaches supporting the implementation of effective identity management processes.
