The Smart Borders package is one the priorities mentioned in the recently issued European Agenda on Migration. Its various implementation options are being assessed throughout a dedicated pilot project, currently run by eu-LISA.
In this specific context, the European Commission has recently launched a public consultation on the Smart Borders Package, aiming to collect the views of relevant stakeholders in the context of the ongoing Smart Borders Impact Assessment and further development of the revised proposal on Smart Borders.
