Civil Liberties MEPs backed the informal agreement between Parliament and Council negotiators yesterday on new rules to strengthen the mandate of eu-LISA.
With the strengthened mandate, eu-LISA will have better capacities to improve and develop EU information systems for security, border management and migration and to ensure interoperability between these systems.
Civil Liberties MEPs backed the deal in a vote on Monday by 47 votes to 4, with 6 abstentions.
